Core Course in the Field of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design

The course NSL II: Kartografie des Entwerfens teaches methods, tools and processes of design, which are applied from the initial discussion of the place to the communication of the project. In a progression of lectures and exercises, the foundations of landscape architecture design work are discussed and applied. The exercises are graded and count as proof of completion.

The course is intended to enable students to expand their individual design-based methods, thereby inspiring them to process, map and communicate their design tasks. A basic framework is presented, which reveals the possibilities of methodical design and can be applied in the design courses and the master thesis.
